Scientific circle "Biology of microorganisms"
The student scientific and educational circle "Biology of microorganisms" was founded in September 2024 according to a collegial decision at a meeting of the Department of Soil Science and Soil Protection named after prof. M.K. Shikula (protocol No. 3 of October 16, 2024) and the Order of NUBiP of Ukraine "On Optimization of the Work of Student Scientific Circuits" No. 885 dated September 9, 2023.

Microbiology is a space to understand the incredible invisible world of microorganisms that surround us every day. It is difficult for a person to imagine today without a scientific baggage of knowledge and experience, about microorganisms and their impact on the environment of life of plants, animals and humans. Every minute, every hour, every day we absorb a large number of microbes with food, water, air. An incredibly large number is on our skin, in the oral cavity, intestines of animals and humans, lives and shows its activities many microorganisms. A large number of microorganisms carry diseases and even death to people, animals and plants. Often the diseases caused by them spread at high speed.
The development and improvement of scientific activity of students of the circle is one of the forms of quality training of future specialists. Work in a scientific circle on microbiology is, first of all, independent work, which students perform under the control of an experienced teacher, which contributes to the formation of a creative personality of future agronomists - practitioners and agronomists - scientists. The department considers the main principle of voluntariness of gifted students who show interest in microbiology and virology, active scientific, organizational and research work.
The purpose of the circle is to develop professional skills, logical and consistent thinking, creative approach, skills in using various sources of knowledge, logical processing and reproduction of the necessary information, as well as deepening theoretical knowledge in microbiology and virology, to develop a general and professional outlook of future specialists, to teach them independence, analysis of problems, mastering modern methods of laboratory and practical research.
The main tasks of the circle are:
1. Expansion of classes of students-ciritians in the field of agricultural microbiology and virology through field classes in research institutes, laboratories;
- meetings with prominent scientists microbiologists and manufacturers.
2. Creating conditions for the disclosure of the scientific and creative potential of the circle members to scientific activity;
- involvement in scientific conferences, seminars and other research and educational events;
- promoting the expansion of university, regional, national and international student cooperation in the field of science and innovation;
- ensuring and protecting the rights and interests of members of the circle;
3. Active participation in the public life of the university, career guidance work in order to attract applicants to study at NUBiP of Ukraine.
