“SEB-2024: section 4 “Synergy of social institutions in the meta-discourse of sustainable development”

 Within the framework of the SEB-2024 Forum: Cooperation of science, education and business for the development of Ukraine, a meeting of Section 4 “Synergy of social institutions in the meta-discourse of sustainable development,” moderated by Professors Viktor Ladychenko (law faculty) and Svitlana Kharchenko (faculty of humanities and pedagogy)was held.

 

   The topic of the panel discussion of the joint section of the faculties of humanities and pedagogy and law - the synergy of social institutions in the meta-discourse of sustainable development - was of interest to business, as they have a clear understanding that the development of social institutions, including educational institutions, should take into account social, economic and environmental priorities of sustainable development. The section meeting was attended by 12 representatives of business and stakeholders, including the gymnasium No. 109 named after T. H. Shevchenko of Pechersky district of Kyiv, BTU-Center of Ukraine, WIDE-WEST GROUP LLC, Kyiv city Center for gender equality, prevention and counteraction to violence, LBU-TECH LLC, ILTA LLC, AMC Investment House LLC, Crow Ukraine, Institute of philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, specialized School No. 16 of Obolon district of Kyiv, Lviv defense cluster public organization , Kyzenko Law firm.
   Addressing the participants of the section, Oksana Tonkha, vice-rector for research and innovation of NULES, emphasized the humanitarian and legal basis of sustainable development and thanked the employers who support the University. In today's difficult conditions, we have one home - NULES, one country - Ukraine!

   Inna Savytska, dean of the faculty of humanities and pedagogy, greeted the participants and wished them to always be in synergy to achieve the goals of sustainable development.

   Borys Stadnyk, director of AMC Investment House LLC, spoke about creating successful personnel and the role of employers in higher education. The panelists asked questions to the speaker about the specifics of legal support for business, mechanisms of psychological support for employees in the current difficult conditions.
The discussion continued with a speech by Viktoria Lendel, deputy director of the Kyiv city Center for gender equality, prevention and counteraction to violence, who spoke about the importance of social and psychological rehabilitation of victims of domestic violence, as well as the specifics of the Center's activities and working conditions. The Center cooperates closely with the University, and Victoria Lendel thanked the University for the graduates who are currently employed at the Center.

 

 

   The discussion was continued by Bohdan Yarynko, PhD in law, attorney, co-founder of the Lviv defense cluster, who spoke about the role of this public organizations in countering russian aggression. The report focused on the ability of every citizen to contribute to the country's defense capability and the employment of veterans as an effective tool for adaptation to civilian life.

 

   The discussion was supported by Roman Babkovych, director of the consumer goods department of BTU-Center Ukraine, who spoke about BTU-Center Ukraine and its cooperation with the department of pedagogy. He emphasized that today more than 4.5 million hectares in Ukraine have been treated with BTU-Center Ukraine products and invited to visit the company's laboratory.

 

 

   As a result of the discussions, it was recognized that achieving sustainable development without a humanitarian component and without the development of social institutions is impossible, so business representatives are interested in expanding cooperation through research and services, contributing to the arrangement of training laboratories, exploring the possibilities of introducing dual education for the specialties of Vocational Education and Social Work, and continuing to involve stakeholders in discussing educational programs, Job Fairs, and practical training.
