Experience of NUBIP of Ukraine’s Participation in the 24th International Student Summit on Food, Agriculture and the Environment – Bogor (Indonesia)

I have the honor to share my experience of participating in the 24th International Student Summit on Food, Agriculture, and the Environment, which took place in the city of Bogor, Indonesia, and was organized by IPB University in cooperation with Tokyo NODAI University (Japan).

I represented the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine and had the opportunity to deliver a presentation entitled “The Role of Higher Education Institutions in the Development of a Circular Economy: Recommendations for Implementation at NULES of Ukraine. For me, this experience was not only an academic challenge but also an important step in my professional growth.

The summit program was very intensive. During the first two days, we listened to each other’s presentations, shared experiences, and discussed current challenges in the field of sustainable development. There was a great deal of networking, new acquaintances, and lively discussions. On the third day, we selected the theme for next year’s summit, and after the official program, we played traditional Indonesian games and musical instruments, including the angklung. We were also shown the extensive territory of IPB University, and I was truly impressed by the scale and organization of the campus.

A particularly memorable event was the closing ceremony. After heartfelt speeches, we received certificates, took many group photos, and shared our impressions and plans for the future. The following day, we visited the Bogor Botanical Gardens, one of the oldest and largest in Asia, which left unforgettable impressions.

I am sincerely grateful to all the colleagues I met during the summit - you are all incredible. I would like to express special thanks to my academic supervisor, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Nataliia Kovalenko, for her invaluable advice and inspiration, as well as to my university for the opportunity to represent NUBIP of Ukraine at such a high level.

I would also like to acknowledge the International Relations Office of NUBIP of Ukraine, which supported me at every stage of preparation and consistently assists students in international projects and academic mobility.

This summit strengthened my confidence, provided me with new knowledge, friends, and ideas. For me, it was not just a presentation of academic work, but a true journey into the world of cooperation, cultural exchange, and a shared vision of a sustainable future.
