Progress of participants of the student scientific club “Study of molecular biological mechanisms of metabolic regulation with in-depth study of English biochemical terminology”

 First of all, students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine study, improve their professional skills, participate in international conferences and events organized by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, along with working in clubs (https://nubip.edu.ua/node/153834 ; https://nubip.edu.ua/node/159575 )

 After studying the disciplines “Animal Biochemistry with Fundamentals of Physical and Colloidal Chemistry” and “Biochemical Processes of the Cell” (the first is a mandatory component of the educational program “Veterinary Medicine” (211; master's degree), the second is an elective), students should acquire the following competencies: 1) understand the methods of scientific research, the contribution of basic and applied research to science and the implementation of the 3R principle (replacement, reduction, refinement); 2) implement the principles of effective interpersonal interaction, including communication, leadership, management, teamwork, mutual respect and other communication skills; 3) critically review and evaluate literature and presentations; 4) regularly engage in self and peer review processes to improve performance; 5) collect, store, and transport specimens; select appropriate diagnostic tests; interpret and understand the limitations of test results; 6) use appropriate diagnostic equipment and perform examinations effectively, following health and safety rules and applicable regulations; 7) understand the contribution of digital tools and artificial intelligence to veterinary medicine; 8) recommend and evaluate biosecurity protocols, applying these principles correctly; 9) inspect food and feed to accurately determine conditions affecting the quality and safety of animal products, including appropriate food processing techniques
