On September 23-24th, 2021, the Faculty of Economics of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine celebrated its 70th anniversary. The International Scientific and Practical Conference "Agricultural policy of Ukraine in conditions of global challenges" was dedicated to the celebration of the anniversary. Leading ukrainian and foreign experts delivered congratulations and topical scientific reports at the plenary session.
Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Vice-Rector For Scientific and Educational Activities and Development of NULES of Ukraine Serhii M. Kvasha made a report: "Theoretical basis of public decision-making in agricultural policy", which outlined promising areas of research in the field of agrarian economy, main vectors of agricultural development policy, its essence and goals.
Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Academician of the NAAS of the Institute of Accounting and Institute of Accounting and Finance of NAAS of Ukraine Mykola Puhachov in his speech "Risks and challenges of development of the agrarian sector of the economy of Ukraine" outlined the main problems that need to be solved by specialists for the further development of the agricultural sector at the present stage.
Doctor of Economics, Professor, Academician of NAAS of the Institute of Accounting and Finance of NAAS of Ukraine Valerii Zhuk made a report: "Scientific support of agricultural policy: village-preserving model of agrarian system of Ukraine", in which he drew attention to the need to preserve traditions and way of life development of the agricultural sector.
PhD of the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (Germany) Oleksandr Perekhozhuk identified modern economic and mathematical approaches, methods of modeling and research of agro-political problems in conditions of global challenges.
Director of the Ukrainian National Agrarian Forum Mariia Didukh considered the practical aspects of the financial and tax policy of the states and its impact on the development of the agricultural sector.
PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, International Expert of Integrated Natural Resources Management FAO Oksana Devis in her report "Prospects of Ukraine's agriculture in the conditions of climate change" outlined the main modern challenges of further development of agriculture in Ukraine and measures taken by the Food and Agriculture Organization United Nations to eliminate them.
The conference also included a meeting of the section "Management, Marketing, Logistics and Foreign Economic Activity" chaired by Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Production and Investment Management, Associate member of the National academy of sciences of Ukraine Lidiia Shynkaruk, PhD in Economics, Professor, Head of the Department of Management named after Professor J. S. ZavadskyiTetiana Balanovska, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Administrative Management and Foreign Economic Activity Vitalii V. Lutsiak, Doctor of Economic Sciences Professor, Head of the Department of Marketing and International Trade Ruslan Buryak.

The section was opened byAnatolii Ostapchuk, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Agrarian Management, who wished good work and interesting discussions to the conference participants.
The report "State support as a component of management of the agricultural sector of Ukraine's economy" was presented by Mariia Yaroshko, a graduate studentof the Department of Management named after Professor J. S. Zavadskyi NULES of Ukraine, Deputy Head of the project "German-Ukrainian Agricultural Policy Dialogue", an expert of the agricultural policy at the National Association of Agricultural Advisory Services of Ukraine "Dorada". The information provided about the state policy of support for agricultural producers in Ukraine and its comparison with the policy pursued in the countries of the European Union, provoked a lively discussion by the conference participants.
The speech of Ivan Zaiets, a Ukrainian politician, People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the I, II, III, IV and VI convocations, was interesting and meaningful. In his speech Ivan Zaiets determined the need to form an organizational structure of agricultural production to ensure the successful development of both the Ukrainian countryside and the state as a whole.
Director of Omelyanenko.pro and Marketolog.ua, graduate student of the Department of Marketing and International Trade of NULES of Ukraine Oleksandr Omelianenko in his report "Social media marketing in agricultural business" revealed the benefits, opportunities and tools of using social media marketing for agribusiness.
PhD in Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Production and Investment Management of NULES of Ukraine Valentyna Bykhovchenko in her report considered the current food problem, which belongs to the category of global.
Larysa Karpenko, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Marketing and International Trade of NULES of Ukraine, covered quite interesting practical issues in her report "Neuromarketing as a means of psychological influence on the consumer".
