Defense of master's theses of project managers: finish of educational process, but start in business

 Every year Production and Investment Management Department traditionally prepares and releases into the world of professional growth graduates of the Educational Program "Management of Investment Activity and International Projects", i.e. future project managers. The current year was no exception. On November 22 and 23, 2023, the defense of master's qualification theses of full-time Master's degree holders took place.

At the beginning of the meeting of the examination commission, the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Management Anatolii Ostapchuk addressed the students with a congratulatory speech and wished the master's students success in their defense, and the members of the commission - fruitful work. Anatolii Ostapchuk also informed everyone about the rector's order on the admission of students to the defense of works and introduced the commission that will evaluate the works.

The defense of all works was highly appreciated by the members of the examination commission, which included: the head of the commission - Doctor of Economics, Professor Mykola Talavirya and members of the commission: Doctor of Economics, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Lidiia Shynkaruk, Associate Professors Tetiana Vlasenko and Tetiana Lobunets.

The projects that were presented at the defense were impressive for their relevance, originality, creativity and high level of preparation. Most of this year's graduates already have education in other specialties and are successful specialists in these fields. But the desire to start their own business inspired them to study project management. And it is precisely this interaction and coexistence of educations that is the key to obtaining a good result of one's activities. Therefore, once again, at the defense, there was a growing interest among students in project management, their understanding of the importance of developing abilities in the field of design.

The range of projects offered by masters is impressive in its diversity. Investment projects for the implementation of precision farming systems in farming, organization of service for agricultural producers for mobile seed treatment, export of semi-finished products to the European market, cultivation of hazelnuts, mushrooms, organic greens in closed ground, production of advertising and trade equipment from wood, opening of a restaurant, photo studio, real estate sales agency, computer club, online bank, decorative flower shop, mini confectionery, internet marketing agency - these are the master's ideas that are either at the stage of implementation or ready for implementation in the future.

The members of the examination commission noted the innovative orientation of the content of the master's theses, the practical significance of the results obtained, and the high level of competencies acquired by students during their studying.

Evaluating positively the level of students' knowledge, the head of the examination commission of the educational program "Management of Investment Activity and International Projects", Doctor of Economics, Professor Mykola Talavirya emphasized the fact that today the master's students impressed everyone with their level of knowledge, the ability to defend their own point of view, give a thorough answer to the questions of the commission members.

In fact, for every graduate it is both a festive and a little sad day, which gives a feeling of joy from the successful defense of master's theses, brings satisfaction from the victory, leaving behind the student years at the same time. From today, a new chapter in the life of yesterday's students begins, during which they move from theory to practice, from words to action, from an idea to its successful implementation. And here we are talking about the implementation of those projects, on which every master of yesterday worked during his studies at the Educational Program "Management of Investment Activity and International Projects". And as the guarantor of the educational program, Doctor of Economics, Professor Lidiia Shynkaruk noted that one must always remember that everyone's main investment project is their own life! And our success depends on us!

We congratulate all graduates with a successful defense and wish the implementation of the projects that were presented at the defense, further gains in life and career!
