Career – guidance in the Kyiv region by philology students

October 19, 2017

On October 13, 2017, the student of the first year of the Fil-17001b group, Yakon Kateryna, visited the Berezan secondary school of I-III grades №1 of the Berezan City Council of Kyiv region to conduct career guidance work among the pupils of grades 9 and 11.

The student told about the specialties at our Humanities and Pedagogy Faculty NUBiP: professional work, sociology, linguistics (English, German, Polish, French), as well as new ones - psychology, international relations, journalism. In addition, she emphasized on the benefits of studying at our university: programs of double diplomas and internships in Poland, simultaneous training in two specialties at the master program, etc. The students showed a great interest in Catherine's study and student life in NUBiPU, cultural, sporting and social activities at the faculty, and, more generally, at the university.

In addition, the student conducted a survey among 9th and 11th grade students about a dreamed-up specialty: 50% want to be philologists, 32% prefer international relations, 6% choose psychology, and the other 12% are prone to other fields of knowledge. But a video shot by talented students of our faculty about the life of our students and their participation in the life of the faculty and the university.made a really  strong positive impression.

We hope that next year our faculty will be attended by the graduates from Catherine's hometown and school number 1, which may in the future be proud of our humanities and pedagogfaculty and university, and will glorify our family of NUBiPU not only in Ukraine but also on the international level of knowledge and science.
