Cooperation between NULES of Ukraine and the Georgian Academy of Agricultural Sciences continues

    As part of the agreement between the Georgian Academy of Agricultural Sciences on April 14-27, 2016, the delegationfor internship work arrived to the Department of Livestock and Aquatic Biological Resources. It onsisted of Kashia Eldar – Сhief Specialist in Ichthyology, Tsekhladze Manchur – Chief Specialist in Veterinary of the Department of Livestock, Veterinary Medicine and Animal Nitrocellulose Feed Production of Agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia and Partsvaniya Archil – an employee of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia of the Department of Agricultural Development, veterinary, apostdoctoral student.

     Within the program for receptionof the Georgian delegation, a meetingtook place between Vice-Rector for Scientific-Pedagogical work, International Activities and Development – Vadym Tkachuk, Dean of the Department – Vadym Kondratyuk, and scientific-pedagogical staff of the Department of Livestock and Aquatic Biological Resources. The guests took part in a festive award ceremony of the II Stage of the Ukrainian students’ academic competition on “Water Bio-resources and Aquaculture”.

     The program provides internships of delegates in the direction of fish breeding, which will be held on the territory of the following farms: educational-scientific production laboratory of fish breeding of the Chairof Aquaculture of NULES of Ukraine, cage culture fisheryof sturgeon “Bester”, Experimental sturgeon fish factory State Agency of Fishery of Ukraine (Khersonska Oblast), Public JSC “Skvyrasilrybhosp” and Agricultural enterprise “Antonov-Agro” (Kyivska Oblast), Private JSC “Chernihivrybhosp” (Chernihivska Oblast). In addition, the meetings with representatives of State Agency of Fishery of Ukraine for working on the program “Methods of prevention and treatment of fish diseases in aquaculture” have been planned.

     With that saidwe wish our Georgian colleagues a successful internship at our University and are hoping for further fruitful cooperation.
