The basic lines of research activities carried out by Department include:

  • preparation of high-purity materials with radioactive elements;
  • study of equilibrium at phase interfaces of complex heterogeneous systems and in nano state substances;
  • study of poly charge solid-state systems as catalysts of oxidation of CO and halogen-containing organic compounds;
  • preparation, purification, identification and chemical modification of natural substances exhibiting the properties of pesticides;
  • terminological issues dealing with translation of English scientific and educational texts;
  • methodology of chemistry teaching in secondary and higher educational establishments.

Research work is carried out in collaboration with scientists from:
Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and a number of research institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine: Kyiv Institute for Nuclear Research, G.V. Kurdyumov Institute of Metal Physics, V. I. Vernadsky Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry, Frantsevich Institute for Problems of Material Science, L.V.Pisarzhevskii Institute of Physical Chemistry, and Institute of Biocolloid Chemistry named after F.D.Ovcharenko.
