Ecosystem Restoration

Natural habitats have long been valued for their beauty, but we are now recognizing their vital importance to human well-being. Although fundamental to the success of the UN sustainable development goals, ever-growing demands and pressures have led to severe transformation, degradation, and even destruction of global ecosystems. To mark the inaugural year of the UN Decade of Ecosystem Restoration, this collection highlights the growing calls for large-scale restoration and marks how we may achieve it while securing human and environmental well-being.
