The European Interdisciplinary Forum aims to bring together researchers and academics with their students, and presents an excellent opportunity for the exchange of ideas, insights and latest research.

In the year 2017, the European Interdisciplinary Forum is organized on General Theme “Innovations, Smart Growth and Sustainability” and four tracks:
A: Challenges for Networked Society
B: Economic Competitiveness and Global Sustainability
C: Business and Management Success Factors
D: Challenges for Education and Labour Market

The working language of EIF 2017 is English.

General Theme: Innovations, Smart Growth and Sustainability
The Europe 2020 strategy aims to deliver growth through effective education, research and innovation, an emphasis on job creation and poverty reduction. Thus, the EIF 2017 aims to attract researchers and practitioners, who are engaged into various fields to share their findings and insights. The empirical and conceptual papers, devoted to a wide range of issues, contributing to the sustainable development of countries and companies as well as Local Government, human welfare, social responsibility, marketing, trade and tourism, entrepreneurship, advances in innovations and business administration are being sought.

Track A: Challenges for Networked Society
The stream B is grounded on the idea that society is moving from the industrial era toward networked society and thus, raising a number of social, cultural and technological issues. The researchers and practitioners are invited to discuss how Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) may affect labour markets and labour processes, mass self-communication, networks of people built around certain initiatives and social spaces of virtual reality.
Track B: Economic Competitiveness and Global Sustainability
Economic competitiveness in the long-run period depends on variety of development facets. Those development facets range from economic to social and even physical drivers of sustainable growth. The researchers and practitioners are invited to discuss a wide range of issues contributing to countries and companies, especially SME’s, competitiveness. Also, the papers investigating clean and efficient energy and its interrelatedness to competitive advantage are being sought.

Track C: Business and Management Success Factors
The track C invites to discuss current issues related to business and management success factors. The discussion aims to answer the following questions: what knowledge, competencies, methodologies and performance shape success of organizations? What particular business and management success factors prevail in business and public sectors? What business performance is expected due to the changes of business philosophy and implementation of new managerial practices? How management, entrepreneurship, inter-organizational relations and inter-sectorial interaction, business networks, collaborative leadership, innovations and creativity contribute to the progress of society and organizations in the competitive environment? What is the role of media and culture in the contemporary contexts of organization development?

Track D: Challenges for Education and Labour Market
The track D aims to gather researchers and practitioners to discuss the array of issues: major trends in society and their implications, future implications of migration and ageing, poverty, crime and conflicts, the role of citizen in the European Union.

A submission for full papers opens on the 20th of July, 2017
European Interdisciplinary Forum running dates: 28-29 September, 2017

Deadlines for:
Full paper submission and registration 21 September, 2017

REGISTRATION FEE:
Registration 350 EUR
Accompanying person or co-author attending in person 100 EUR
Virtual presentation without full paper 50 EUR

Registration fee provides full participation in EIF 2017 including conference materials, as well as morning and mid-day refreshments.

After you got notification of acceptance of your paper, please also submit a copy of the payment made.


PUBLICATIONS
The abstracts will be published in the Abstract book with ISBN in Lithuania.
Full papers which fully satisfy scientific quality standards will be considered for publication in proceedings published by Editografica s.r.l. Medimond - Monduzzi Editore, Bologna, Italy (http://www.edlearning.it/), and included to Web of Science Conference Proceedings.
Proceeding of papers at the conference of 2016 is to be found in the database of Conference Proceedings Citation Index on Web of Science.

GUIDE FOR AUTHORS

The abstract (line spacing 1 lines, text Times New Roman 11, all margins 2 cm).
The abstract should contain clearly emphasized parts:
- Title of the paper (Times New Roman 14, bold),
- Correspondent Author’s name, surname (Times New Roman 12, bold),
- Author’s e-mail,
- Institution and country,
- Co-authors, theirs e-mails, institutions, countries,
- Paper’s Purpose,
- Design / methodology / theoretical approach,
- Findings,
- Practical implications,
- Originality/Value,
- Keywords (up to 5 keywords),
- Research type (research paper, viewpoint, conceptual paper, case study),
- JEL classification: http://www.aeaweb.org/jel/jel_class_system.php

The full papers: 8 to 12 pages, including the abstract, all figures, tables and references, Times New Roman, Line spacing 1 (Single), Font Size 11, all margins should be set at 2 cm. The paper should be divided to the sections and subsections. The format of the selected papers should be arranged by requirements of particular journal after the correspondent author is notified about acceptance of the article.
