Educational work

The department conducts educational work according to the degree system: Bachelors and Masters.
Specialties that supplying of "Bachelor" degree are 201 "Agronomy", 202 "Protection and quarantine of plants", 203 "Horticulture and viticulture", 051 "Economics", 071 "Accounting and taxation", 072 "Finance, banking and insurance", 076 "Entrepreneurship, trade and exchange activity", 208 "Agroengineering", 015.37 "Professional education".
The disciplines that supplying of department for "Bachelor" degree:
   - "Technology of storage and processing of crop products";
   - "Technology of storage and processing of fruits and vegetables";
   - "Technological examination of crop products";
   - "Standardization and quality management of crop production";
   - "Winemaking and expertise of wine".
The new disciplines that supplying of department for Master’s degree:
   - "Logistics and innovations of handling, storage and processing of crop products";
   - "Technological audit of storage and processing of crop production";
   - "Techno-chemical control of crop products";
   - "Material and technical base for storage and processing of crop products";
   - "Energy-saving technologies at the storage and processing of crop products";
   - "Quality and logistics during storage and processing of fruits and vegetables";
   - "Quality and logistics of crop production at the modern farming systems."
The department employments supplying the disciplines for students of the "Bachelor" degree (the second higher education) for specialty 201 "Agronomy": "Technology of storage and processing of crop products", "Technological examination of crop products".
On the lectures, laboratory and practical classes are utilizing new methods and methodological approaches to students' study of the disciplines, during the educational process. The 30 electronic training courses have been developed on the basis on elearn.nubip.edu.ua platform and 25 from them were certified. It is especially necessary in the conditions of a pandemic and the transition to a distance or mixed forms of education.
The department is the graduation department of the Agrobiology Faculty and annually graduates about 25 students of the "Bachelor" degree and 15 of the "Master" degree. The laboratory and practical classes for students conducted in the educational laboratories: "Storage, processing and quality assessment of crop products", "Technological and techno-chemical control crop products".

 

Practicaly education of the students are passing on the basis Educational-Scientific and Production laboratoris of "Processing of crop products" and "Processing of fruits and vegetables" of the department, educationaly-researching farms (Separated subdivision of NUBiP of Ukraine “Agronomic Research Station”, Separated subdivision of NUBiP of Ukraine “Oleksandr Muzychenko Velykosnytinske Educational and Research Farm”), advanced farms from production, storage and processing of crop products. The material and technical base of the department updating systematically, in particular, all classrooms and laboratories of the department have been repaired.

During practical classes in the "Fruit and Vegetable Processing" laboratory, students acquire practical skills in various technologies of vegetable canning

Educational practice in research farms helps to consolidate acquired theoretical knowledge
The employment of the department are creating for the student’s modern textbooks, educational handbooks and methodical literatures, including for independent work, development and certification of ENK.
The department prepares highly qualified personnel through postgraduate studies in the specialty 06.01.15 - primary processing of crop products. Over the past 10 years, five post-graduate students of the department successfully defended theses for the degree of candidate of sciences.
The department has close links with different scientific organizations (Institute of Agriculture of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Institute of Potato Growing of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Institute of Horticulture of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Institute of Food Resources of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine) that is promoting to increase the scientific and practical levels of students' training in branch of storage and processing of plant products.
